Solar & Storage Live Africa is Africa’s largest renewable energy exhibition that celebrates the technologies at the forefront of the transition to a greener, smarter, more decentralised energy system.

In March 2025, we brought the latest generation of intelligent solar panel bracket systems to Solar & Storage Live Africa 2025 in Johannesburg, South Africa. This largest clean energy event in Africa brought together more than 500 exhibitors from 45 countries around the world and attracted more than 15,000 professional visitors. African market trends: key signals from policy to practice

1. Policy dividends: government bidding and localization incentives

The sixth round of bidding for REIPPPP in South Africa clearly requires that from 2025, photovoltaic projects must use ≥40% localized components, and brackets become "localization priority categories" due to high transportation costs;

The East African Community (EAC) Customs Union has lowered the import tariff on Photovoltaic Brackets to 5% (originally 15%-25%), driving a surge in projects in Kenya and Tanzania.

2. Project trend: large ground power stations turn to distributed scenarios

Industrial and commercial roofs: South African wine estates, Kenyan tea processing plants and other customers prefer the integrated solution of "light brackets + energy storage";

Off-grid microgrids: Demand in rural areas of Nigeria has exploded, requiring brackets to be adapted to portable folding photovoltaic panels.
